The Master Trainer trains, certifies, and mentors job instruction instructors and workplace trainers to provide job instruction training to Hallmarkers at the Leavenworth Production Center. This position is responsible for the development, coordination, delivery, tracking and reporting of employee training in an assigned area of the Leavenworth Production Center and reports directly to the Training and Development Manager and Leavenworth Plant Manager. This role coordinates and supports the training efforts of two to four Job Instruction (JI) Instructors and 20 to 40 Workplace Trainers. The Master Trainer must receive training to become certified as a trainer of other trainers; this person must also be a self-starter who is not afraid to take initiative and have organizational skills to be able to plan and outline a process for achieving desired results.

In this position you will:

  1. Successfully complete a 40-hour job instruction train-the-trainer certification course.
  2. Teach and certify JI Instructors and Workplace trainers on the Job Instruction method.
  3. Participate in selection, development and evaluation of Job Instruction Instructors and Workplace Trainers and be responsible for motivating them in their training duties.
  4. Audit and verify the training presented by workplace trainers and the learning and success of trained employees.
  5. Support initial and cyclical training and certification of employees.
  6. Coordinate with Area and Section Managers in relation to training needs and resources
  7. Collaborate with the Training and Development Manager, other Master Trainers and JI Instructors in continuous improvement of the training program.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years' experience in training and facilitation, with demonstrated expertise at engaging adult learners across all levels
  • 3+ years' Leadership experience
  • Ability to work both independently and in a group setting
  • Ability to work comfortably in a highly collaborative setting
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong sense of personal accountability
  • A self-starter who demonstrates initiative

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Training and Development or another related field
  • 3+ years' experience with developing or leading an overall training strategy in a manufacturing environment or complex business setting
  • Organizational development experience
  • Leadership experience in manufacturing, distribution or other supply chain environment
  • Excellent analytical abilities, highly proficient in MS office suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal

This position is onsite Monday-Friday and is located in Leavenworth, Kansas.
