Job Summary

The Senior Sales Operations Analyst administers the end-to-end commissions processes, including automating, and improving upon payment calculation, reporting, and analytics. They will assist with sales compensation plan design and operational aspects to ensure a high level of accuracy, transparency, and efficiency related to all aspects of the sales commissions process.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with sales and finance leadership to develop and optimize annual sales incentive plans.

  • Develop sales incentive compensation analysis, financial forecasting, and decision modeling for current and possible future initiatives and communicate this analysis with leadership to inform decision making.

  • Manage the monthly commission analysis reporting and quota attainment measurement.

  • Calculate monthly commissions and prepare monthly reports for Finance and Sales leadership, including total commissions paid, attainment as a percentage of quota, and effective commission rates.

  • Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly sales incentive and attainment management analyses to the Sales organization.

  • Calculate quarterly sales incentive payments for participants on a variable sales incentive plan and validate accuracy.

  • Automate the sales commission process to maintain an accurate, trackable record of attainment, incentive and supporting data in Salesforce.com and other commission reporting tools.

  • Identify the appropriate Sales Compensation management tool and lead the implementation and administration of the tool including configuring credit assignment rules and refining rules to reduce corrections.

  • Create dashboards and automated reports to summarize and communicate sales incentive data to participants using Salesforce or other tools.

  • Support ad hoc analyses related to commissions including but not limited to calculating deal valuation, providing deal decision support and key sales decision analyses.

  • Manage and monitor the variable compensation financial modeling for planning, budgeting, forecasting, territory analysis, and sales performance management.

  • Perform ad-hoc reporting, analyses, and provide strategic insights for the Sales Operations and Sales Leadership.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.

  • 5+ years of relevant, progressive experience in finance, sales compensation, related sales operations, or accounting functions.

  • Problem solving and analytical skills combined with a strong business and technical acumen.

  • Expertise in sales automation and Salesforce.com.

  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, preferably in a sales or business partnering role.

  • Ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights and build financial models.

  • Familiarity with sales operations, CRM systems, and sales performance metrics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (ex: MBA) or professional finance qualification.

At Surescripts, base pay is one part of our Total Rewards Package (which may also include bonus, benefits etc.) and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this position is $92,450 - $112,950 per year. Your base pay may vary within or outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including (but not limited to) your qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
