This position has overall responsibility for delivering quality customer service and a positive customer experience to our largest utility accounts. Acting as the single point of contact for a designated group of customers, the account manager will provide assistance with issues such as reliability, billing, expansion of service, and other customer needs as they arise. In addition, this position may support other customer programs and initiatives under development as the Company focuses on customer centricity and digital transformation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a positive customer experience to a designated group of Strategic Accounts by acting as the single point of contact for the customer.
  • Provide customer assistance as the need arises regarding the customer's utility service. This may include billing, reliability, service expansions, metering, power quality, planned outages, and rates.
  • Support the development and implementation of various customer programs currently under development.
  • Provide customers with a point of contact for customer interconnections and net metering, which includes managing the flow of required documentation and reporting.
  • Support Service Operations in emergency restoration activities, which may include participating on storm teams and being the communication interface between the company and external stakeholders.
  • Provide the customer with 24/7 availability to respond to emergency outages.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required in an engineering or business field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the energy industry and/or a customer management position.
  • Comfortable with energy systems, energy programs and technical terminology/concepts used in commercial and industrial environments.
  • Proficient in the basic suite of Microsoft packages, especially Excel and the quantitative analysis and reporting of data.
  • Enjoy working with customers and external stakeholders.
  • Enjoy working in emergency situations and willing to respond to customer and emergency situations on short notice.
  • General knowledge of and interest in the fast-changing energy business in areas such as renewables and distributed energy.
