Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst Coordinator is responsible for assisting Business Analysts with translating business requirements documents for reporting and special projects, and other systems project related tasks. This includes, but is not limited to, the collection of business requirements from users, creation of related requirements documents, or reports, assisting with user acceptance testing activity, providing user support.

The selected candidate must live within a commutable distance (approximately 50 miles) to Citizens Jacksonville, FL or Tallahassee, FL office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Models ethical behavior and executes job responsibilities in accordance with Citizens core values, ethics, and information protection policies.
  • Assist the Business Analysts in their research/analysis to express business needs in forms (e.g., requirements, prototypes) that can be used by Agile teams to deliver solutions.
  • Perform testing of system changes/enhancements, with a primary emphasis on user acceptance testing, including developing implementation and testing plans.
  • Assist with systems production support requests and performs troubleshooting as directed by management. This includes prioritizing system issues as needed.
  • Act as liaison between technical, design and production teams during development lifecycle as directed by management.
  • Assist in the establishment and development of policies, procedures, practices and methods for departmental processing using new or existing systems.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong grasp of technology and how it plays a role in business processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Systems including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to establish attainable goals, objectives, and work plans
  • Ability to organize material, analyze a wide variety of facts and develop appropriate recommendations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma | GED
  • Associate/Technical Degree OR 2 years relevant experience, OR a combination of both college and experience equivalent to 2 years

AND

  • 2 or more years of related experience, such as in Claims, Underwriting, IT, Product Development or Human Resources support. Additional post-secondary education may substitute for required experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, methods, procedures and theories of property and casualty insurance.
  • Experience with Citizens systems.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment applying Lean Agile practices and principles (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, SAFe)
