The Sr Associate Quality Specialist is responsible for aiding in the quality assurance efforts for all medical products/devices sourced within the Medical-Surgical business. Working closely with the manager of Purchasing Controls, as well as other managers within the global sourcing organization, this position will ensure the products imported (or domestically sourced by Cypress Medical Products LLC) meet established regulatory requirements either through documentation review and/or physical product inspection. This position will have the opportunity to expand into various other QA responsibilities including but not limited to the Product Development Procedures (PDP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for verification of incoming products/devices against established regulatory requirements prior to receipt to stock and approval for sale
  • Responsible for QA oversight of existing warehouse operations
  • Future opportunities may include responsibility for Supplier/Product information for supplier/product onboarding
  • Future opportunity to participate in the product development process of new products as well as dual/multi sources

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to review documentation for incoming shipments and/or conduct physical inspections of imported product as necessary
  • Ability to work with warehouse staff to oversee and provide guidance on established SOPs
  • Timely receipt, review, and approval of documents returned from suppliers as measured by, and in relation to, other supplier/product qualification activities, so as to not delay projects.
  • Successful and timely support of Sourcing/McKesson Brand requests that keep project timelines on schedule

Critical Skills:

  • Understanding of or experience within a regulated healthcare setting
  • Understanding of or experience with warehouse operations
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Proven successful in technical and problem solving skills while managingcomplex issues
  • Experience transferring troubleshooting findings in to reporting andpresentation formats
  • Product development experience desired
  • Proven successful in managing competing priorities with outstanding organizational ability
  • Excellentcommunication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation and sense of urgency in managing all assignment deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions based on judgement and integrity
  • Ability to work effectively with others to accomplish goals in a challenging environment

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$61,800 - $103,000
