PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position is responsible for the sale of government products to qualified beneficiaries throughout an assigned and approved service area. The Field Sales Representative (FSR) position must clearly and fully explain the benefits and requirements of the products, so member expectations are consistent with plan provisions. The FSR will also complete assigned member retention tasks as required. The Field Sales Representative is highly accountable for increasing

membership in the most compliant and dignified manner. The position requires proactive provider outreach, member/community facing events, and relies heavily on membership retention. Innovative ideas and attention to details are

critical for achieving the department's goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Required Work Experience

* Must have 3 years of Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement and PDP sales.

2. Required Education

* High-School Diploma or GED in general field of study.

3. Required Licenses

* Active Arizona (a state in the United States) Department of Insurance Health & Life Producer's License.

* Possess a valid Arizona Driver's License with no restrictions or unfavorable history

4. Required Certifications

* N/A

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Achieve yearly goals by:

* Conducting consultative meetings with prospects and/or members.

* Working, tracking, following up and ultimately closing or converting Company generated leads in all approved counties.

* Conducting in-home appointments to meet with prospects, explain benefits, determine eligibility, and ultimately increasing membership.

* Conducting 4 - 6 seminars and/or events per week during AEP, and 2 -3 seminars and/or events during Lock-In.

* Managing and taking ownership of assigned areas.

* Utilizing presentation skills that capture and maintain the audience' attention.

* Consistently ask for permission to follow up with a prospective member or lead.

2. Retain Membership by:

* Responding to all external and internal correspondence promptly and accurately.

* Encourage members to attend government sponsored events.

* Develop sales, marketing and social activities for members and prospects.

* Dressing professionally to portray a positive and professional image to the general public.

* Proactively contacting existing membership (i.e. Birthday Cards, Thank You Letters, etc.).

3. Develop Strong Relationships by:

* Becoming a creditable resource for questions/concerns regarding Benefits, Compliance and CMS Guidelines.

* Proactively conducting 6 - 8 visits per week to medical groups, primary care physicians and specialists in your assigned areas.

* Participating, creating, and seeking out events that are community facing and have opportunities for sales, marketing and prospecting.

4. Compliance:

* Train and Test annually to maintain certification.

* Maintain an Arizona Health and Life License

* Remain in good standing with the organization and Department of Insurance.

* Report all violations (CMS, DOI or Organizational) to Management immediately.

* Familiarize yourself with CMS Guidelines, Chapter 2 and 3 of the MMG's.

* The position requires a full-time work schedule. Full-time is defined as working at least 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours as requested or as needed to meet business requirements.

* Perform all other duties as assigned.
