We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant, SEC and Technical Accounting to join our accounting team. The role will support SEC reporting, technical accounting research on complex matters, and stock-based compensation accounting. This role will report to the Senior Manager - SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting and is hybrid (flexible 2 to 3 days per week in our Billerica, MA headquarters). This role will work closely with management across the finance organization, cross-functional teams, as well as internal and external auditors.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures, disclosure checklists, and the MD&A for the Company's quarterly and annual filings with the SEC including Forms 8-Ks, 10-Qs and 10-Ks.
  • Assist with the research, analysis, and documentation of technical accounting matters and SEC reporting to ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate standards of internal control to ensure the accuracy and quality of financial statements produced and in support of SOX compliance efforts.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reporting tasks relating to stock-based compensation under ASC 718 and maintain EPS calculations.
  • Perform quarterly closing and reporting tasks including preparing account reconciliations, roll-forwards, cashflow and equity statements and other schedules.
  • Coordinate review of SEC filings with senior management, Disclosure Committee, Auditors, Audit Committee, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide support to external and internal auditors during audits and interim reviews. Manage the audit and reporting processes, including maintaining filing calendars/timelines, and audit requests.
  • Manage accounting policies in accordance with GAAP, SEC, and other authoritative accounting rules and regulations and work directly with the Accounting Department to implement such policies.
  • Manage ad hoc projects, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in accounting required.
  • CPA required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in progressive accounting and reporting experience.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC financial reporting rules and regulations.
  • Experience with SEC reporting tools and financial systems.
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with public accounting and public company experience.
  • Biotech / Medical Device / Diagnostics industry experience
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail, unquestioned integrity, and accountability
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
