The Opportunity

Adobe is looking for an experienced and innovative Global Trade Compliance Senior Manager to join our team. This role requires a candidate with a unique blend of technical, operational, and strategic skills, as well as a passion for delivering excellence. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator, comfortable with working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment and possess a commitment to driving improvements in the way we manage global trade compliance. Additionally, the candidate will possess extensive experience with implementation and management of global trade automated solutions (e.g. SAP GTS, Oracle GTM, etc.). To be successful in this role, you must have a demonstrated ability leading a global trade compliance function, with a special focus on economic sanctions and foreign trade laws. You must also have an educational background in a related field, a deep understanding of global trade and sanctions laws and regulations, and a track record of successful collaboration with multiple partners. Familiarity with Adobe's product portfolio and processes is a plus. If you have an ambitious spirit and are motivated to work on complex projects, this is the job for you.

What you'll Do
  • Develop, maintain and own trade sanctions screening investigation standard operating procedures, which are aligned with Adobe's trade sanctions screening policies.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Trade Operations team to help implement trade sanctions policy measures applicable to Adobe.
  • Develop, maintain and lead trade sanctions screening investigations training materials and deliver training to newly onboarded investigators.
  • Provide oversight and ownership on end-to-end trade sanctions screening investigation (denied party screening) by using automated solutions (SAP GTS).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal partners (engineering, technology) to find opportunities to automate manual tasks and optimize investigations.
  • Responsible for oversight of day-to-day Trade Operations workflow management, queue management and quality of sanctions screening investigations.
  • Perform quality assurance on alerts investigated by investigators, identify trends - based on the trends, findings identify and provide targeted training and quality control feedback to investigators.
  • Provide support during tuning, controls/testing, audit periods from a trade sanctions screening investigations stand-point.
  • Participate in system testing and functional feature testing as needed.
  • Maintain reports/dashboards and own management intelligence related to trade sanctions screening investigation operations.
  • Perform root cause analysis and create mechanisms for reporting to trade sanctions leadership.
  • Adhere to service level agreements in reviewing and adjudicating trade sanctions screening alerts.
  • Coordinate teams on investigations related to potential trade violations (e.g., Voluntary Self-Disclosures, internal audit and/or quality control findings).
What you need to succeed
  • Adequate educational background, plus an extensive (7+ years) experience in compliance, sanctions/AML/KYC investigations.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. export and trade sanctions laws and regulations, including OFAC rules and other country's trade regulations.
  • Performed implementations on multiple trade sanctions screening technologies - SAP GTS experience is preferred.
  • Ability to create procedures to interpret and align with regulatory policies, while enabling investigators perform appropriate level of due diligence.
  • People management skills - ability to provide training, feedback and support needed to help create a strong investigations team.
  • Experience in performing quality control/assurance.
  • Strong management, decision making, influencing and delegation skills.
  • Superior analytical and investigative skills combined with the ability to navigate through ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the Adobe's business, products and services.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Certified Global Sanctions Specialist certification is a plus.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $123,200 -- $240,750 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
