Job Description
Overview

Responsible for implementation, training, oversight and conducting Project Controls related practices for complex projects across all operational groups.


Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide timely and accurate performance analysis, forecasting and reporting to the Project Manager and Project Controls Manager
  • Job setup compliance and conforming the estimate oversight
  • Controlling and Monitoring Project Controls on multiple projects during various phases
  • Ensure budget management, change management, forecasting and progress updates are performed in accordance with procedures and good practice.
  • Support Project Management and Project Controls Management with project reporting requirements
  • Assist/train project management in use of PM/Controls tools
  • Works independently on complex assignments
  • May require some travel to project sites
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of project controls experience or related work experience preferred
  • Certifications from AACEi, PMI or related industry institute a plus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward MasTec's Zero Injury principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Office 365, Primavera, InEight and/or other related performance related software.
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage simultaneous tasks/assignments
  • Exceptional team building skills and ability to collaborate with groups throughout the company
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Solution oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend complex assignments
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
