POSITION SUMMARY

The Finance Controller reports to the Director of Cost Accounting with a dotted line to the Rabbit Hole CEO, a member of the Executive Leadership Team. The Controller partners with key stakeholders within Rabbit Hole and with Pernod Ricard to help provide sound strategic financial leadership and ultimately the delivery of short and long-term company objectives.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Strategy & Financial Analysis:

  • Lead all aspects of finance and accounting for company including supporting reporting and decision analysis for Production Operations (Distilling/Bottling/Warehousing/Logistics) and Sales & Marketing (Packaging/Brand Home/Commercial/Marketing).
  • Manage and mentor four direct reports responsible for all accounting and finance functions.
  • Perform in-depth analysis on pricing, costs, and ROIs to support operational and commercial teams.
  • Present monthly analysis of actual results to CEO and key stakeholders.
  • Develop short and long-term financial forecasts and 18-month rolling forecast.
  • Collaborate with leadership peers to identify, drive, and monitor margin expansion opportunities.
  • Responsible for financial modeling and analysis to support business development opportunities, regulatory changes, and vendor activities.
  • Develop 10-year P&L models with multiple scenarios for accelerate initiatives and long term strategic planning .
  • Serve as head of finance for two startup innovation companies, communicating and presenting financial updates to Board and needs encompassing a total of 10% of time across two current brands.

- Planning, Reporting, & Controlling:

  • Lead preparation and management of company budget, including revenue, Expenses, EBITDA, cash requirements, key cash drivers, Cost/PG, storage costs, demand planning, and analysis supporting headcount changes and capex needs.
  • Lead month-end closing, prepare and review journal entries, analyze inventory evaluation, and perform required monthly reporting.
  • Review work of direct reports, including cash flow management, monthly KPIs, analytics, closing entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial statements, and reporting packages.
  • Oversee and establish monthly financial statements and key KPIs for departments (packaging, Distilling, warehouse, Brand Home, Sales & marketing) and overall company.
  • Implement and oversee standard cost template for all finished goods.
  • Refine current KPIs to drive consistent performance, accountability and cost cutting if necessary.
  • Oversee and approve monthly reporting package for intercompany reconciliation process.
  • Oversee submission of Monthly Capex and Maturing Inventory to parent company.
  • Lead implementation of new internal controls and oversee testing and modification of current internal controls across all company functions
  • Oversee costing each month to allocate and apply operational costs across their respective uses.
  • Implement and oversee coding changes for income statement transactions and corresponding departments in the Accounts payable process.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable process to ensure timely payment to vendors.
  • Manage key cash drivers and strategic projects, including capex progress and inventory management.
  • Direct determination of depreciation rates for capital assets.
  • Oversee all Balance Sheet reconciliation for company on Blackline
  • Oversee cash position analysis and provide insight on expected future LOC needs.
  • Oversee 20 tax and compliance filings which include Federal, State, and local filings.
  • Oversee all reporting and communication, if necessary, with regulatory agencies.
  • Support PR USA tax with Rabbit Hole Income tax.
  • Prepare payroll entries and associated accruals.
  • Establish relationships with counterparts at other PR USA subsidiaries.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, banks, etc., regarding financial matters.
  • Develop P&Ls down to individual SKU and market level to support new markets, SKU's and innovation projects.
  • Lead S&R reporting for company.

- Project Leadership:

  • Lead ongoing integration with parent company.
  • Oversee tax credit applications for Strategic Capex Projects.
  • Coordinate with Pernod Ricard internal audit team on annual audit processes.
  • Lead Other Special Projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • +7 years equivalent experience in manufacturing or related experience in a process operation
  • Possess excellent financial acumen and thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Strong desire to work in whiskey facility
  • Financial and software acumen to build budgets and track
  • High attention to detail and extremely strong organizational skills
  • Solid ability to track and understand material balances
  • High ability to make things happen, team building, influencing and partnering and step change innovation
  • Solid ability to have customer focus, consumer and brand focus, commercial rigour and big picture thinking

The salary range for this role, based in Kentucky is $112,600.00 to $140,800.00, range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate'sexperience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
