Job Summary:Provide product drawings, illustrations, and specifications for custom and standard signage products.
Primary Duties:
Create custom illustrations and drawings for SignScape
Work directly with sales to create customer-facing product drawings and sign renderings for pre-production
Assist in product design and part verification
Verify that product designs are within our manufacturing capabilities
Ensure that drawing and specifications are accurate
Stay current with illustration software and design tool
Job Specifications:
Working knowledge of Illustrator, CAD, Solidworks, or Corel
Basic typography knowledge and experience.
The ability to read and understand part drawings, tolerances
Complete understanding of manufacturing capabilities following training
Ability to prioritize tasks and follow through on completion
Communicate effectively both internally and externally
Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
Strong time management skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
Education:
Minimum 2 years of technical college and 5 years of product design experience
Office Equipment Software:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office utilizing Word, Excel.
Experience with Illustrator, Corel, CAD, Solidworks or other illustration software
Job Relationship:
Reports directly to Plant Manager of Signscape Division
Works closely with manufacturing and sales departments
Authority:
Update and maintain drawings and bills of materials
Complete custom illustrations and drawings for Signscape
