ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST (HYBRID - SAN FRANCISCO)

The Accounts Payable Specialist will have primary responsibility for processing daily invoice and expense reports, handling vendor maintenance, domestic and international ACH and wire payment processing, and assisting in the cross-training of the Accounts Payable team.

How You'll Help Our Team Succeed

  • Reviewing payment requests and entering invoices into the firm's financial system; processing weekly payments runs for domestic and international offices
  • Reviewing and processing employee expense reports, including exports from the firm's expense management software), ensuring payments are timely and in compliance with expense reimbursement guidelines
  • Processing timely US and European vendor payments, employee expense reimbursements and secondee payroll via the most effective payment method to include checks, ACH, international BACS and wires
  • Voiding and reissuing vendor checks
  • Preparing and importing accruals for month-end reporting
  • Investigating all late payment fees and working to eliminate their re-occurrences
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements, striving to follow best practices to enhance the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the team
  • Co-managing the 1099 issuance process at year-end in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Accounts Payable
  • Ensuring all Help Desk tickets are adequately handled in a timely fashion

What You'll Need to Be Successful
  • 5+ plus years' of directly related experience in an accounts payable position with full knowledge of the entire accounts payable cycle preferred
  • The desire to take initiative and actively contribute to the team and the firm
  • The ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to learn the firm's financial and operational functions
  • The mindset to provide superior service
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience

For San Francisco Candidates Only: Cornerstone Research is offering a competitive market base salary for this position between $70,500 and $100,700. A job offer will depend on how closely a candidate's skills, experience and education match the requirements for the role. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes annual performance bonus and generous benefits.
