Software Engineer II - Azure Compute

Job Description
OverviewJoin the Azure Core Infrastructure Efficiency team and help build the world's most efficient cloud platform. As a Software Engineer II on our team, you will be responsible for designing and building next-generation cloud systems that improve the cost efficiency and sustainability of GPU/LLM deployments in Azure datacenters. You will also design and develop power control systems that use live telemetry streams and large datasets to analyze and decide on dynamic power control strategies. Additionally, you will work with the Azure Systems Research Group to build prediction models for power and cooling optimization and collaborate with engineers across Microsoft to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our servers. ResponsibilitiesCreates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.Maintain communication with key partners across the Microsoft ecosystem of engineers.Contribute to efforts to ensure the correct processes are followed to achieve a high degree of security, privacy, safety, and accessibility.Contribute to efforts to collect, classify, and analyze data with little oversight on a range of metrics (e.g., health of the system, where bugs might be occurring).Maintain operations of live service as issues arise on a rotational, on-call basis.Contribute to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.Embody our Culture and Values
