Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for machine maintenance in respect to electrical, air compressors, punch presses and any other equipment requiring maintenance or major repair.

Responsibilities
    Installs, maintains and cleans a variety of equipment in respect to air compressors, such as cooling towers, refrigerated driers, water pumps, blowers, thermostats and electrical systems.

  1. Assists in installing, maintaining, and servicing punch press, injection molding presses, and various manufacturing equipment. Maintains lifts and pallet jacks.

  1. Assists in keeping accurate file on all equipment relative to a preventative maintenance program.

  1. Makes repairs and adjustments to production equipment as needed, to assist in keeping equipment in a safe and productive operating condition.

  1. Attends periodic training classes pertaining to proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste as required by E.P.A.

  1. Keeps work area clean, safe and orderly at all times.

  1. Performs other miscellaneous duties as required.

  7. Must have sufficient knowledge of basic operating principles, safety requirements and technical specifications
  8. Requires job trade knowledge in the field of electricity and/or general machine maintenance. High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Short-term trades training a plus.
  9. One to three years maintenance experience.
  10. Ability to sit/stand for periods of up to 8 hours.
  11. Repetitive grasping and gripping with hands.
  12. Regularly required to bend, lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
