Kearney & Company is currently hiring a senior associate to join our team. We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Controls Senior Assoicate with a strong background in technology and innovation to join our dynamic team. The Internal Controls Senior Associate will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring internal control systems that leverage cutting-edge technologies to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess existing internal control processes and identify areas for improvement and innovation.
  • Design and implement advanced internal control frameworks leveraging technology solutions such as automation, AI, data analytics, and blockchain.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of internal control procedures and systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls in mitigating identified risks.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to internal controls and recommend proactive measures to address them.
  • Provide training and support to staff members on internal control procedures and technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in internal controls, risk management, or audit, with a focus on integrating technology solutions.
  • Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., Green Book) and regulatory requirements (e.g., A-123).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Federal experience and knowledge of OMB Circular A-123, Management's Responsibility for Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Control, and GAO Standards for Internal Control in the Federal Government (Green Book)

The expected salary range for this position is between $66k and $90k. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
