Position Summary | The Assistant Camp Director is responsible for the safe operation and instruction of their assigned camp program(s) in accordance with the Camp Policies and Procedures. This position may be supervised by the Camp Director and personnel of the Office of Conference Services & Camps. The Assistant Camp Director will assist the Camp Director with appropriate planning, marketing, implementation and evaluation of their camp's programmatic and logistical operations. |

Distinguishing Characteristics | North Central College camps are unique entities to the College with the complexity and sensitivity of working mainly with minors and individuals from outside of the College community. Understanding this sensitivity and complexity, it is imperative that all policies and procedures governed by the College are followed accurately. While doing so, the Assistant Camp Director is expected to serve as an appropriate role model for the children in their care, as the individual in this role will be a representative of the College during the course of their assigned camp. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as the Assistant Camp Director must be able to relate effectively to people from a variety of backgrounds. This person is an integral member of a small staff operating in an environment where cooperation, teamwork and collaboration with Conference Services & Camps and various departments within the College are vital to its success. Non-compliance with policies and procedures, as outlined in the Camp Policies and Procedures Manual, may result in the loss of coverage under the College's insurance. |

CPR/AED Certified. High School diploma required |
Experience | 2-3 years of relevant subject or camp experience. |
Licenses or Certifications | Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. |
