Job Description

Jefferson Consulting Group (Jefferson) is a rapidly growing small business dedicated to exceptional professional services to federal agencies. Jefferson's core services include acquisition, grants management, human capital, program management, and management consulting. To support its growth, Jefferson's Growth Office is seeking a Capture Manager to support proactive business development activities. The Capture Manager will work with the Growth Office, Executive Team, and Delivery teams to help achieve growth goals. The Capture Manager will be responsible for managing the full Business Development life cycle process across multiple agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and shape prospective professional services opportunities for both unrestricted and small business.
  • Update and work with colleagues to maintain agency account plans.
  • Add new business opportunities to the pipeline and conduct qualification efforts to move opportunities through the pipeline.
  • Conduct outreach to and develop relationships with agency personnel to gather intelligence and position Jefferson in advance of solicitations being issued.
  • Obtain market and competitive intelligence from industry members.
  • Develop capture strategies working with internal personnel and partners.
  • Develop and execute capture plans for the pursuit and capture of approved opportunities.
  • Participate in bid decisions, including developing and presenting the opportunities at phase/gate reviews for approval.
  • Participate in the proposal process and provides recommendations for improvement of quality/content based on capture efforts.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' Degree preferred.
  • 8 years of capture and/or business development experience in the federal market for professional services contracts, particularly with unrestricted new business opportunities
  • Strong business acumen that demonstrates an understanding of business issues and linking solutions to capture strategies.
  • Demonstrated evidence of successful capture experience.
  • Experience developing account and capture plans.
  • In-depth knowledge of the typical industry capture and proposal process.
  • Formal training in capture processes preferred.
