The Spirit of the Position: The eCommerce Administrative Assistant is an important role reporting to the Senior Director, eCommerce, and working as part of the eCommerce team with LAZ's Technology and Innovation department. This role puts the selected candidate in the position of operating a system that is critical to the future success of our company in the eCommerce space. The role is responsible for the day-to-day support and maintenance of the LAZ Parking online sales platform, an important, customer-facing eCommerce system. This is a fully remote position, and the candidate can be located anywhere in the US. This position supports the company on a national scale, but the candidate must be able to support the west coast up to 6pm Pacific Standard Time, 5 days per week, ideally Thursday through Monday.

Principal Job Duties:

  • Administer the online parking sales system using a web-based back-end client.
  • Work with staff nationwide to ensure their locations are set up and transacting correctly.
  • Provide support during some early evening (West Coast) and weekend hours.
  • Initially onboard and set up new locations in the system.
  • Ensure High Quality of customer-facing information for new and existing locations.
  • Work with regions and their clients to implement web-based widgets.
  • Manage user rights in the system.
  • Report inefficiencies and issues that users encounter while using the system to the eCommerce System Administrator.
  • Make suggestions to the eCommerce System Administrator to improve the system and processes overall to make them more scalable and automated.
  • Manage first-level customer support and escalate to or follow up with regions.
  • Handle second-level support emails from the regions.
  • Track the performance of locations in a publishable manner.
  • Periodically perform projects to tidy data or improve system settings or configurations.
  • Manage meeting agendas.
  • Track and input tasks into a web-based project ticket system.

Skills

  • Highly organized and process driven.
  • Very detail-oriented with an exceptionally high expectation of quality outcomes.
  • Effective verbal and written communication as well as group presentation skills.
  • Excellent team skills with the proven ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results, initiate processes, self-manage, and work proactively.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather the appropriate level of detail when launching projects.
  • Familiarity with software engineering design patterns.
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts.
  • Ability to engage in critical thinking, root cause analysis, and thinking in abstractions.

Education:

  • Information Technology learning-related certification and/or courses preferred.

Experience:

  • Experience in administering similar systems such as customer service systems, databases, multi-user systems, etc., and dealing with users nationwide.
  • Parking operations experience a definite plus
  • Preferred experience working in a disciplined manner either at home or in a de-centralized work environment, working with remote teams and leadership.
