Scope of Position Student Intern for Respiratory Therapy support the operations of the department through performing basic tasks that do not require a license. The position requires good communication, ability to use the computer, ability to use the copy machine, and physically able to walk from building to building while carrying supplies and/or equipment.

Position Summary Student Intern to assist with clerical and/or administrative assignments in Respiratory Therapy.

Duties and Responsibilities

Able to determine physician orders in COE: 30% Able to determine orders and input data into IHIS: 30% Able to assist in coughing and deep breathing with patients: 30%

4. Miscellaneous clerical duties including running errands, reorganizing office files and processes: 10%

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire: Qualification as a work study student; currently enrolled as a student working towards a B.S.

Degree; ability to communicate and understand instructions

On going: Ability to use the computer and physically able to assist with errands and copying documents

  • Identify and sort documents following instructions
  • Understand and left unattended to do any inputting into the computer
  • Communicate to other when answering the telephone

Work Environment
