As a Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for developing, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance work to ensure the reliability and availability of equipment and resources. Your role involves creating detailed maintenance plans, optimizing maintenance schedules, and ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently. This position will support our Adsorbents & Additives Business Unit in Quincy, FL.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the site's work order system, including creating, prioritizing, and scheduling maintenance work orders
  • Coordinate with maintenance supervisors, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of work orders
  • Plan and allocate manpower, material resources, and equipment for maintenance tasks based on priority, availability, and skill requirements
  • Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of spare parts and materials
  • Develop detailed maintenance plans and job packages for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities
  • Ensure that job plans include detailed instructions, safety procedures, required permits, and any special isolation needs
  • Continuously evaluate and improve maintenance processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality of work
  • Implement best practices and standards to streamline maintenance activities and reduce downtime
  • Identify opportunities to reduce maintenance costs through effective planning, optimized resource allocation, and efficient work execution
  • Monitor maintenance expenses and identify areas for cost-saving measures without compromising safety or quality
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance planning processes and overall plant reliability
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, new technologies, and safety regulations related to maintenance planning

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required and 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Planner or in a similar role within an industrial setting
  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), such as SAP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning principles, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and asset management is a plus
  • Understanding of safety regulations and permit requirements in an industrial environment
