The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven medical professional liability individual to work in our Member Services department as a Senior Account Executive. In this role, you will report to the Vice President, of Member Services and be responsible for the execution of Curi's client experience and retention strategies for its "direct" book of business in Utah and surrounding mountain states. You will serve as a liaison between the company and physician practices and will be Curi's brand ambassador by fostering positive relationships with the medical community and affiliated institutions and organizations within the region. Working in tandem and collaboration with Underwriting, Risk Management, Claims and Finance, you will utilize excellent communication skills and a strong product and market knowledge to ensure a high level of insured satisfaction; to maximize policy retention and profitability; and promote utilization of company platforms, products, and services.

Key Result Areas

  • Implements and maintains the company's stewardship program to ensure appropriate contact, communication, and customer support for each group.
  • Delivers/presents renewal policies to direct clients, educating them as to policy enhancements, coverage changes/interpretation, pricing modifications, etc.
  • Acts as the primary company contact for our insureds within their assigned book with respect to their overall relationship with Curi and is responsible for overall management of their medical professional liability policy as well as oversight of the overall client experience for those insureds.
  • Provides ongoing training and education to direct insureds to ensure they are knowledgeable about all Curi member benefits and mission to help physicians in medicine, business, and life.
  • Makes consistent business decisions, supports company underwriting guidelines and pricing philosophies, and promotes ease of doing business with Curi.
  • Creates and maintains consultative relationships with their assigned insureds to explicitly promote the value proposition for all of Curi's enterprise-wide platforms, offerings and services, including those produced under Curi Capital and Curi Advisory.
  • Develops and maintains a professional and collegial working relationship with insureds, as well as members of the underwriting, claims, risk management, finance, and corporate departments.
  • Keeps two-way communication between direct insureds and the company continuously open and viable and encourages usage of Curi's online platforms.
  • Stays alert for and advises company of any industry information, market intelligence, competitor products/services/strategic initiatives that could positively or adversely affect Curi. Also offers feedback on product enhancements that may resonate with our members.
  • Represents and promotes the company by being an active attendee and participant at relevant industry conferences, tradeshows, and conventions as well as medical advocacy organizations.
  • Reporting of activity, progress, and market intelligence during frequent team meetings.
  • Meets regularly and frequently with Business Development, Underwriting, Claims, Risk Management, Curi Capital and Curi Advisory to stay abreast of their services, guidelines, strategies and initiatives, to adequately educate our clients and encourage deepened usage of Curi products and offerings.
  • Actively contributes to the creation/improvement of service infrastructure and standards.

Skills

  • Must be highly motivated and self-driven.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external audiences, including some public speaking/presentations, etc.
  • Familiarity with product lines, services, and competitive offerings
  • Ability to analyze and compare statutory financial data.
  • Must be willing to travel 30-50% of the time. Regular and frequent regional travel throughout UT, MT, WY and ID, and any additional states that may become part of the Mountain region. Occasional overnight and weekend travel within Curi footprint.
  • Outstanding organization, prioritization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and display a professional demeanor in all situations.
  • Ability to function as part of a team.
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality and exhibit discretion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 8+ years of Medical Professional Liability experience or 10+ years in the commercial insurance industry space as a producer or in a healthcare business development/retention capacity required.
  • Property & Casualty Insurance Producer's License required.
