The Residency Coordinator will support with all areas of accreditation and credentialing, scheduling, scheduling systems management, curriculum, development of activities, event coordination and all other faculty administrative support!

Residency Coordinator Overview

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Build and coordinate annual block rotation and attending schedules
  • Coordinate and maintain medical student rotation schedules
  • Select, invite, schedule interviews, and coordinate and run interview day
  • Coordinate and handle documentation of each resident's informative experience through New Innovations Residency Management Suite (RMS)
  • Maintain understanding of the current ACGME requirements, ABFM Board Certification requirements, Minnesota Board of Medical Practice licensing requirements, DEA Certification including X DEA requirements, PECOS and PMP registration
  • Event coordination support throughout the academic year, which may include holiday celebrations, Annual Welcome Picnic, Graduation Celebration, Alumni Event and others as needed
  • Conduct Administrative orientation during New Resident Orientation, New Faculty Orientation and Medical Student Orientation. Meet with non-program staff to review systems relevant to their role within the clinic
  • Support Committee meetings as needed throughout the program

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree and/or a combination of related education and work experience in residency, medical or medical education settings equal to 2 years
  • Three years of shown administrative support experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. Advanced computer software intuition
  • Experience with editing and writing, compiling and interpreting statistical information
  • Outstanding detail orientation skills, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • With excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent proofreading, grammar and editing skills, understands effective design, layout and formatting skills, typing speed of 70-80 wpm
