About the Role:

Alcoa is seeking a Safety Intern to work with other environmental, health and safety professional at Alcoa's Technical Center (ATC), located in New Kensington PA. This summer internship will provide exposure to the environmental, health and safety responsibilities of the Aluminum R&D Industry.

• Support with updating documentation and development of local EHS SharePoint site.

• Assist with development of general EHS trainings including helping recreate outdated EHS trainings.

• Help develop a machine guarding safety training.

• Help investigate and identify corrective actions for work related incidents that occur onsite.

• Shadow site EHS to help assess risk of production and construction activities onsite.

What you can bring to this role:

• A junior/senior level or above student in an Occupational Safety, Health, Environmental program, or related field/coursework.

• Good communication skills with professional decorum, oral and written.

• Ability to work efficiently and effectively to achieve goals and deliver results.

• Self-starter who can work independently and within a collaborative setting.

• Aptitude to learn and grow in a technical environment with constant challenges.
