Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Next Gen GEO program in the Space Sensing PEO in managing the system engineering of a mission-unique payload, leveraging your space infrared sensor payload technical expertise.
* Assess payload developer progress. Provide technical review of payload development activities.
* Provide detailed reports of progress with technical evaluation of risk and impact. Identify and elevate technical and programmatic challenges.
* Identify technical discrepancies between payload hardware being utilized, installed, or built against requirements and program baselines.
* Collect data and provide comprehensive analysis on existing development programs within the Next Gen program.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Technical Bachelor's degree
* 10+ years directly applicable experience
* Experience working in or supporting space based sensor systems
* Able to design, analyze, and report out on spacecraft and payload sensor hardware to provide in-depth technical assessments and identify issues and risks.
* Excellent communication skills, customer relationship and technical skills.
* Experienced with leading spacecraft development activities.
* Ability to develop solutions for complex technical issues with limited supervision.
* US Citizenship and a TS/SCI Security Clearance are required for the position
Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from approximately $165,000 to $175,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
