Position Purpose
Act as McAdams representative for SUE projects, employing utility locating techniques to determine the location of underground utilities. To direct, supervise and manage the daily operations of SUE staff. To grow and foster relationships with public and private clients within the DFW metro for SUE services. To lead and mentor SUE team staff within the DFW Metro.
Essential Functions + Responsibilities
- Lead the SUE team, provide resource management, resolve complex technical problems, Coach, train, and mentor SUE staff members, and work collaboratively with all team members on all aspects of project execution.
- Establish, promote, and ensure quality on all project and work performed by group staff.
- Develop proposals or contracts that ensure the contract scope is adequate for the project, provide the desired level of profitability, and ensure that the project schedule is viable.
- Understand business initiatives and concerns of current and prospective clients to recognize and promote new opportunities and cross-sell other services provided by the firm.
- Assist in the development of short-term and long-term strategic market sector plans, with focus in the DFW market.
- Develop and foster client relations to perpetuate long term relationships.
- Responsible for the profitable operation of the Dallas - Fort Worth, Texas, SUE group.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of office/field experience in Subsurface Utility Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of Project Management experience in a related field.
- Highly motivated to develop the SUE sector within the DFW market.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead a team of SUE professionals.
- Demonstrate ability to independently manage and grow key client relationships.
- Possess the technical abilities required to lead and advise the SUE project team through project execution and delivery.
