RESPONSIBILITIES:

For his/her own geographic area of competence, will be responsible for:

    • Prepare project level investment plans and analyze the best procurement methods. Coordinate the analysis and decisions within the estimating department bidding process.
    • Provide lease v. buy v. rent analysis including interest rate and time value of money considerations.
    • During the bidding phase identify mechanical/equipment support staffing needs for projects.
    • Supporting the project's start-up and implementing the jobsite P&E structure and the Group's processes, tools, and methods.
    • In conjunction w/Procurment department, vetting and alignment of key vendors to maintain equipment fleet including lubricants and diesel supply and storage.
    • Update equipment tracking KPIs and manage project level decisions based on KPI performance. KPIs include repair cost tracking, service tracking, downtime, and utilization.
    • Analyzing aggregate reporting relating to data and parameters of Plants and Machinery, to define the strategic plan of the Group's machinery and equipment.
    • Coordinating and supervising Project Plant & Equipment Managers in operational activities, for achieving Project objectives, and for managing activities of the Group's Plant and Machinery fleet, also ensuring the application of methods and tools for detecting parameters and appropriate efficiency evaluation indicators and qualitative effectiveness.
    • Track equipment time spans at project level and update corporate budges based on latest projections. Review and ensure equipment end dates are updated regularly at each project.
    • Coordinate equipment movements among projects to optimize utilization of assets.
    • Collaborate w/relevant stakeholders to prepare or update department procedures to match organizational standards.
    • Software Used: ERP - JDEdwards; Mechanic work order management - HCSS E360; Telematics - Teletrac Navman/Qtanium, Visionlink (CAT), JD Link (Deere), Komtrax (Komatsu), Caretrack (Volvo)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 7-8 years of experience in similar roles, within structured organizations, and preferably gained in the Construction, Plant Engineering, and/or Oil & Gas sector. Also, preferably including at least 3-4 years of experience in the complex projects field.
  • Knowledge of technologies, products, plants & machinery used in the sector, as well as all related processes (acquisition, commissioning, maintenance, whole life cycle management, certifications and applicable legislation, management of associated costs, spare parts, decommissioning, logistics issues).
  • Ability to analyze, plan, budget and monitor costs.
  • Problem solving and a result-oriented approach.
  • Collaborative approach, communication & engagement, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office package (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Willing to travel as needed (30-40%).
