The University of New Mexico Information Technologies seeks an IT Support Tech 1 for UNM Valencia IT to play an integral role in the IT support operations of the UNM Valencia campus.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft and/or Mac OS software and services as well as experience supporting common software products like the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Creative Cloud.
This position will provide support to resolve issues related to software applications, hardware systems, and network problems for users at UNM Valencia.
Strength in the areas of technical communication, organization, problem- solving and customer service skills are all essential for success in this position.

High school diploma or GED; at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
- Demonstrable understanding of automated computer
configuration and management concepts and strategies.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory based services including centralized file share/printer management and automated system/application update solutions.
- Ability to analyze complex computer problems from a centralized and user perspective and provide documented solutions.
- Experience operating and maintaining audio visual equipment in a classroom environment.
- Experience communicating technical solutions to non-technical people both verbally and in writing.
- Experience using centralized service management/support systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
