Specializing in precision machining and metal fabrication, our Sanmina Newark, California facility has 15 years experience in both precision and large format solutions for industrial, semiconductor, clean technology and oil & gas markets.We provide comprehensive engineering and test capabilities: from in-house and hydrostatic leak-testing of medium and large format vacuum chambers to machining of precision stainless steel mechanisms. We have the capacity to machine components up to 3 meters.Our metal fabrication services include grinding, vacuum welding, heat treating, plating and anodizing. We can process many advanced materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, ferrous-nonferrous and other exotic alloys.

Job Purpose:

The main function of a program manager is to plan, direct or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, operations, supply chain and new product roll-out, etc on any key customer(s) based project(s). Support the Director in managing all aspects of the Account (commercial, operational and relationship matters) of these important customers.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Program Manager will be responsible for all aspects of a program at the site, serving as the site liaison between the company and the customer to ensure customer needs are met
  • Work with Plant leadership in a matrix-management environment to ensure operational excellence across all aspects of our business with customers
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients
  • Responsible for using best practice PMO methodology to create a project plan to fit the stakeholders/customers' needs and deliver with-in budget on desired outcomes. Fully accountable for the result of the project, is the driver that holds the project together. The project manager leads the project with passion and provides deliverables.
  • Manage the activities of a cross functional team(s) to ensure completion of the project on time. Ensure that the team is effective in taking good care of existing business and is executing all steps required to grow profitable new business.
  • Possess in-depth understanding of the contract/MSA terms, and maintains alignment on the same with customer
  • Provides timely resolution of customer issues to avoid escalations
  • Responsible for critical tasks in the quote-to-cash process; Provides the organization with market and competitive intelligence in a timely fashion

Education and Experience:

  • While a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical degree is a plus, a very good knowledge of the precision machining & engineering process is more important; Customer experience is essential; Experience in Machining is very desirable.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial, program management or engineering roles for companies with best-in-class machining and engineering operations; preferably with key customer relationships in semi-conductor capital equipment
  • Highly entrepreneurial individual with a track record of results and integrity who thrives in a fast-paced, hard-working culture
  • A true team player with the ability to "stand his or her ground" when challenged and who can push back in a constructive manner
  • Growth oriented individual who protects the core business and creates new business leads/opportunities
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills to develop and maintain proactive customer interaction
  • Experienced user of PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Project tools.

Salary Range (annual): $90,000-$120,000
