As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our organization's technology systems and data. You will be a leader of and work with our team of IT professionals to develop and implement, tune, manage, and maintain cybersecurity system, process, policies, and procedures to protect against cyber threats.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • CISSP or other senior level security certifications (e.g., CCSP).

  • Strong knowledge of AWS security principles and best practices.

  • Experience with or certifications related to AWS security tools such as AWS IAM, AWS Security Hub, Guardrails, etc. are preferred.

  • Experience with security tools such as, but not required to be, IDP, CASB, DLP, email management, MDM, SIEM/SOAR, vulnerability management systems.

  • Experience with Power Automate, PowerShell, Python, or other languages to create scripts to automate or improve tasks preferred.

  • Familiarity with industry standards, frameworks, and regulations, such as CIS, NIST CSF, and PCI.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong initiation, research, documentation, presentation, and investigation skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, configure, tune, maintain, analyze, audit, document, and cross-train on a variety of cybersecurity systems, software, and processes, including ones related to IDP, CASB, DLP, email, MDM, SIEM/SOAR, AWS security tools, scripting, IAM, and vulnerability management.

  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Monitor, analyze, and improve security systems to identify and prevent potential security breaches.

  • Conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

  • Be on call 24x7 for security incident participation.

  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to identify and resolve security-related issues.

  • Provide training and support to employees on cybersecurity best practices.

  • Provide strong leadership skills in promoting a positive attitude and secure culture within the team and across the company.

  • Other duties as assigned
