The Academic Advisor position in the College of Education and Human Sciences Center for Student Success will work in a team environment to deliver academic advisement for prospective, current, and returning students in support of the University's enrollment, retention and graduation goals.
The successful candidate will receive guidance, training, and mentorship from higher-level personnel as it relates to the delivery of quality academic advisement.
They will work with others to implement in person and online advisement, tend to student academic inquiries, assess academic level, provide advice on academic programs and changes, assist in the resolution of individual academic problems, advise and assist students in the development of academic plans and class schedules, and will develop and maintain appropriate files and records.
In addition to working with students, the academic advisors will work closely with program faculty for student challenge resolution and continued implementation of processes for streamlined student success efforts.
Bachelor's degree; no previous experience required.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
