Job Title: Day Services CBDS Program Manager
Hours: Monday-Friday
Summary of Position:
Lead CBDS/Employment team to create an environment of Employment First, Person-Centered Planning, self-determination and individual choice that shapes the diversification and innovation of our services. Takes a hands on approach within the program to assure that the team works effectively to provide the highest quality employment and enrichment supports, so that each individual served is an active member of their community. Oversee and implement individual and group activities that are creative and enriching in order that individuals meet their career and life goals. Assure that program meets or exceeds all licensing and quality standards and meets or exceeds budget expectations.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Effectively lead staff team through supervision and empowerment creating an atmosphere of continuous learning, support and accountability.
  • Develop effective systems to assure quality and effective administration of program activities in conjunction with Program Director.
  • Responsible for independently managing program site and make independent decisions according to established guidelines and protocols, informing supervisor of any issues in a timely and pro-active manner.
  • Mentor and lead individuals, staff and community members to develop effective networks that support individual's work, volunteer and leisure time activities in the community.
  • Assure that program meets or exceeds licensing and certification standards.
  • Lead Person Centered Planning team for program participants including all stakeholders.
  • Schedule staff members to meet required ratios and clinical and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop opportunities for community volunteers to enrich program offerings with adequate training, supervision and recognition of volunteers.
  • Oversee crew operations to maximize training and employment opportunities.
  • Assure that programs meet contract obligations and that services are delivered according to programmatic and budget plans.
  • Hire, train, supervise, support and evaluate staff towards a motivated and capable workforce that meets the needs of individuals served and compliance with training and certification requirements.
  • Give all program participants required assessments and job development/maintenance supports.
  • Provide interest assessments and develop related enrichment plans to include community membership for individuals who do not desire employment. .
  • Conduct skill assessment to ensure programming developed reflect individual skill development and support needs.
  • Collaborate with the ISP team so individuals have the necessary supports to reach their potential as members of their community.
  • Recruit new participants and facilitate program intakes.
  • Develop and monitor day to day enrichment and employment curriculum, assuring daily access to community resources daily for individuals served.
  • Monitor service delivery and documentation.
  • Ensure a program environment that promotes the utmost respect for human dignity and human rights safeguarding the confidentiality of program participants.
  • Maintain relationships with community members to maximize opportunities for people served.
  • Oversee crew leaders and community connectors/job coaches effectively implementing support strategies and track progress
  • Contributes to the team, maintaining the highest levels of ethical behavior, adhering to assigned roles and responsibilities, program structure, protocols and decision making guidelines.

Knowledge and Experience Required
  1. Bachelor's degree preferred and a minimum of three years related experience and one year of supervisory experience, or equivalent
Skills and Abilities Required
  1. Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  2. Manages multiple priorities and resolves issues in a calm and pro-active manner.
  3. Exceptional teaching and organizational skills
  4. Must be able to become certified in First Aid/ CPR, QBS Safety Care and MAP
  5. Ability to make effective presentations and work collaboratively with community resources
  6. Working knowledge of ISP and HCSIS systems.
  7. Ability to travel extensively in the community using own vehicle (must have positive driving record and be able to pass defensive driving course).
  8. Proficient in MS Office Suite
  9. Knowledge of assistive technology
  10. Ability to maintain flexible schedule which may occasionally include nights and weekends.
