Job Description

The Electronics Assembler 2 will on a production basis, perform electrical and electro-mechanical subassembly and assembly work. Various types of jobs. Often makes simple decisions but must follow established precedents. Works under general supervision and has some responsibility for work output.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Good understanding of ESD controls, epoxy mixing, bonding, painting, and basic assembly techniques.

" Connector tower assembly
" Intermediate Harness and CCA assembly/installation
" Stator & rotor installations
" Basic mechanical fan assembly
" J-STD-001 Certification preferred or previous experience to become certified once hired
" The ability to braze or solder connections
" Advanced Heat Shrinking
" Bonding and Epoxy application
" PLC module assembly, wiring and installation
" Trouble shoot and rework units that have failed test for electrical issues
" More specific electrical assembly tasks
" Requires good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others

Required Skills

Hands-on experience with general electronics assembly. J-STD-001 certification preferred or ability to become certified.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
LEVEL 3:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and 3 to 6 years related experience and/or training. J-STD-001 Certification preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
LEVEL 2:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondences. Ability to communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
LEVEL 2:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
LEVEL 2:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

May interact with other department members within the Company, such as Machine Shop, Quality, Planning and Engineering personnel.
