Your Day-to-Day:

Carpenters with 3+ years' experience and current Nuclear Security Clearance for the Outage at Wolf Creek Nuclear Power Plant in Burlington, Ks.

A Carpenter must have the knowledge to build, modify and remove scaffolding as required for safe operations of the plant. A Carpenter must be a competent person or one who can identify existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions, which are unsanitary or hazardous to employees, and who has authorization to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate them. The essential function of a carpenter consists of spending long periods of time in the physical activities of standing, walking, climbing stairs, light to heavy lifting, carrying, twisting, kneeling, stooping, bending and crouching as required to do work as a team member in providing support towards a successful and adequate completion.

FUNCTIONS:

1. Build, modify and remove scaffolding as required for work at heights - Scaffolding Control Procedure

2. Capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions, which are unsanitary or hazardous to employees

3. Capable of take prompt connective measures to eliminate hazards

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Participate in Pre-Job Briefings

2. Follow safe work practices- Industrial Safety Procedure

3. Use administrative documents, procedures, data sheets/forms properly.

4. Lift minimum of fifty pounds.
