We're looking for an Electrical designer to join our Substation team to further develop our offering to our existing and new clients.

Job responsibilities:

• Working with experienced staff, the candidate will complete physical engineering designs and the generation of professional plans and specifications, technical calculations, exhibits and reports.
• Knowledge and understand of Substation Physical Engineering design of utility and renewable substations.
• Design to current codes and standards.
• Performs and executes technical calculations with supervision.
• With supervision utilize AutoCAD to create general arrangements,and one-lines.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and the project engineering team for structural and civil design requirements.
• Respect and enforce policies and procedures in the preparation of drawings.
• Realize the different stages of the project in the timeframes and budgets. Provide guidance for project schedules and allotted hours for project tasks.

Qualifications and experience:

• 5+ years' experience utilizing AutoCAD / Civil 3D to produce and edit design drawings;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Software (particularly Word and Excel)
• Renewable experience preferred;
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to adhere to product quality while balancing time spent;
• Works well both in team environment and working individually on projects;
