The Inside Sales Supervisor provides direct leadership, guidance and training for department inside sales representatives. The supervisor monitors representatives' activities to surface opportunities for coaching and development to drive continuous improvement in quality and overall departmental success. The supervisor maintains awareness of daily operational needs of the department through various reporting mechanisms and works with department leaders to optimize efficiencies and departmental production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Selects, coaches and develops staff. Sets clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manages performance-- recognizing achievement, providing feedback and administering progressive discipline when necessary.
  • Provides day-to-day oversight to the Inside Sales Representatives, by assisting with troubleshooting situations.
  • Provides coaching, feedback and mentoring as necessary to ensure sales objectives and exceed customer expectations.
  • Assists with new hire interview process and provides on-the-job orientation to new Inside Sales Representatives.
  • Assists representatives with their development plans and develop their presentation skills and product knowledge.
  • Develops process documents for topics that are unclear or have changed.
  • Handles escalated calls or issues.
  • Develops and grows relationships with key customers/ stakeholders, acting on new information and monitoring customer satisfaction.
  • Uses in-depth knowledge of product application to assist customers in selecting product for their business.
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources..
  • Effectively communicates, both written and orally, with customers when delivering sales presentations, product and marketing information, and all account updates.
  • Introduces customers to the Generac program and trains them to use Generac web portals.
  • Establishes, reviews, and reports market activity, market penetration, pricing, margins, selling approaches and itineraries to management.
  • Resolves issues by working with the customer, territory sales and/or product marketing.
  • Act as liaison between departments.
  • Host inside sales meetings

Minimal Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years leadership experience in an Inside Sales and/or Customer Service environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous experience managing process, budgeting and strategic planning;
Knowledge/Skills:
  • Knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP system
  • Ability to build relationships and earn trust
  • Ability to influence employees to collaborate and achieve goals as a group
  • Strong conflict management and resolution skills
  • Knowledge of how to manage process, budgets and strategic plans
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products with an emphasis in using excel spreadsheets
Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
