U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management service, is seeking a Calibration Coordinator for its Westfield Indiana location. This position will be responsible for supporting all calibration efforts using ISO 17025 accreditation guidelines. This includes tracking all items incoming and outgoing for calibration, reviewing, and approving quotes, and working with multiple departments and calibration service company. The Calibration Coordinator will need strong leadership skills, organizational skills, effective communication skills, and a basic knowledge of electronic and mechanical measurement equipment to assist the calibration company with onsite services.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track calibration efforts for all Indiana Site lab test equipment per ISO 17025 accreditation
  • Synchronize and manage calibration schedules to avoid conflicts with test schedules.
  • Lead meetings with contracted calibration service company.
  • Physically retrieve equipment to send out for calibration.
  • Oversee all spreadsheets for internal tracking and external action items.
  • Quality check vendor's final validation documentation
  • Accurately record and maintain testing data in accordance with defined standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, identify, and diagnose malfunctions and repair equipment mechanically and electrically.
  • Research, document, and file all non-compliant forms.
  • Review and approve quotes and calibration certificates before they are returned.
  • Track all incoming and outgoing equipment within the Indiana Lab Sites.
  • Work with outside calibration vendors while they are onsite.
  • Contribute to procedure, technique, and process improvement.

May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and changing business practices.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with 2 years vocational, industrial, trade school or apprentice program experience. Associate degree in technical field or Equivalent experience (preferred)
  • 2 - 5 years mechanical hands-on experience.
  • Familiarity with ISO 17025 General Requirements for Competency of Test and Calibration Laboratories.
  • Ability to manage time and responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
  • Understand and follow instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Operate efficiently in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have strong organizational and time management skills to coordinate service and maintain scheduled progress.
  • Electronic and mechanical measurement equipment knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
  • Able to bend, crawl, and lift 50 lb. for extended periods of time in a safe manner.
