Job Description

As a System Administrator with AIS, you will use your expertise to support production of multimedia products in the planning, development, testing, certification, implementation, and maintenance of current and future Apple and Windows based multimedia systems, applications, and networks crossing multiple domains.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Take initiative and exercise resourcefulness to identify, research, and resolve technical problems, and provide support to other mission support systems.
  • Provide installation, upgrades, and maintenance for operating systems and applications; providing supporting data and documentation for systems and applications accreditation processes and change requests; verifying system, application, and configuration changes through testing and change management processes.
  • Collaborate with the Tier 3 development and security teams to share and obtain information on routine and non-routine maintenance and troubleshoot common systems, and their interactions with command systems infrastructure.
  • Configure and maintain Apple Device Management solution of iMac endpoints.
  • Create and administer Apple operating system installation and application packages and provide patch management for applications and servers.
  • Create and update scripts (PowerShell and Bash).
  • Resolve MySQL database server issues.

Location and Travel Details

This opportunity is located onsite in Chantilly, VA.


Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements

Must hold an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Clearance with Polygraph examination.

*Possession of an active Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access and successful completion of a polygraph examination are mandatory for this position. Candidates who do not meet these criteria will not be considered for the role.


Profile of Success

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience with CentOS Linux system administration.
  • Experience creating and updating scripts (PowerShell and Bash).
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Effectively complete engineering projects with nominal direction.
  • Experience providing engineering support, specializing in Apple hardware and MAC operating systems or willingness to learn.
