Product Line Manager, Sundyne Pumps

Position Reports To: Vice President, Product Management

Location: Arvada, CO USA

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President of Product Management, this role is responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive product line strategic plan for Sundyne's Pump portfolio to achieve and support sales and EBITDA growth objectives.

Major Responsibilities:

Lead development of comprehensive product line strategic plan

  • Conduct primary research to assess market segment attractiveness, including market sizing, segmentation, analysis of key trends & drivers and potential for growth of Sundyne product sales.
  • External and Internal product and business assessment to create objectives for product line growth to be reviewed during annual budget and strategic planning cycle.
  • Perform competitor analysis to capture and analyze competitive positioning, trends, pricing, and product gaps.
  • Execute VOC campaigns to understand and articulate product and customer requirements by analyzing customer applications and market dynamics (size, growth, attractiveness)

Develop and Implement product roadmaps.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive product and technology roadmap to support the growth and profit objectives for the product line.
  • Champion the Passport Gate process (NPD) before and after product design phase; support engineering during product design. Provide customer input and sales mgmt. to new product development process.

Lead efforts to improve commercialization of new and existing products and develop sales tools to support sales funnel development and conversion.

  • Develop promotional strategy for new and existing products including positioning statements and value proposition.
  • Support commercial teams in developing target applications for new and existing products and communicating growth strategies to sales teams and channel partners.
  • Oversee RFQ Management process to ensure service level agreements are met and cross functional resources are aligned to maximize return on R&D investment.

Lead product lifecycle management and product rationalization.

  • Lead pricing strategy development, implementation, and reporting in line with site specific margin expansion targets.
  • Develop plan to rationalize legacy products in conjunction with product roadmaps.
  • Support and provide guidance on initiatives to improve product line margins through value engineering and other cost reduction activities.

Qualifications:

  • "Strategic mindset" with the ability to develop and execute business plans. Experience in industrial B2B environment is a plus.
  • Prior experience developing and executing product roadmaps.
  • Experience in energy, chemical and Industrial markets.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate value proposition to a variety of decision makers.
  • Ability to build cross functional relationships internally and externally, lead through influence.
  • Data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 35%.

Required Credentials:

  • BA/BS degree in business, marketing or engineering, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years in Business Development, Product Management, or related experience.

Compensation Details

Annual Salary: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00

Additional Compensation

The Salary offered will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for this position. This position may be eligible to participate in the Company's Sales Incentive Plan with a target of up to 30% of base salary, subject to the terms and conditions of the plan. Payment is based on individual performance against established sales targets. This position may also be eligible to receive a Relocation bonus, payable as a taxable lump sum, in accordance with the Sundyne Relocation Policy.
