Position Summary

The Satellite Control Network (SCN) Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO-S) Systems Engineering and Integration Bridge (SDSEIB) contract provides Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) support to the USSF Space Systems Command (SSC) Program Executive Officer for Battlespace Management Command and Control (SSC/BC) . SSC/BC acquires services to modernize and sustain the SCN and DCO-S programs.

We are seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer with experience in engineering support, crisis planning and mitigation, project management, and program planning for the SDSEIB contract to support SCN activities supporting the Space Systems Command.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate SCN capability and crisis readiness
  • Develop plans for necessary crisis response improvements and actions
  • Develop, evolve and maintain a crisis management handbook (process and instructions)
  • Analyze threats for potential crisis event impacts that could impact the SCN now and in the future
  • Development, coordination, and collaboration in the continuity of operations community for SCN
  • Create management processes involving prevention techniques, work stoppage, preparedness, response and recovery activities, and working with stakeholders to ensure continuity of operations
  • Participate in technical meetings and government-led studies assess customer requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge and background with architecture, systems and subsystem requirements, systems engineering processes, and development and maintenance of CONOPS.
  • Model Based Systems Engineering experience
  • Technical skills to understand and analyze system problems, define potential solutions, and conduct in-depth technical analysis, assessments and trades and explain results of technical studies in a systems engineering context
  • Demonstrates understanding of performance and requirements analysis techniques, and acceptance testing strategies/methodologies
  • Must have a minimum of an active SECRET clearance to be considered for this position

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in crisis management and mitigation
  • Experience in designing and/or adopting and deploying threat, incident, risk and crisis management frameworks.
  • Experience in creating and developing operational response documentation and processes for incidents and crisis events
  • Working knowledge of the Satellite Communications Network (SCN)
  • Current TS/SCI clearance

    Compensation for California: The salary for this position ranges from approximately $100,000 to $130,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
