Job Description
The Department of Finance in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech invites applications for an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Practice, dependent on qualifications and experience, to teach in the financial planning and finance curriculum. The academic-year position is available beginning Spring 2024 or Fall 2024. Classes will be conducted in-person at the Blacksburg campus.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor's or master's degree or higher in finance, financial planning, business, or related field is required. In addition, candidates must have significant professional or teaching experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching upper division courses at a similar university. The candidate must be a CFP professional at the time of application. Candidates must have the expertise or experience to teach courses in both the financial planning and finance curriculum.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with experience interacting with a diverse student or client population. CFA, CPA, ChFC, CLU, or other appropriate designations are also valued.
