40Summary:
The Cook Children's Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Psychology Department provides a full-time employment position designed to give Post-Doctoral Fellows practical experience in the operations of a pediatric hospital outpatient behavioral health clinic. The position will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, generating treatment recommendations and conducting evaluation feedback sessions. Fellows will be working with a broad range of patient populations, ranging in ages from 0-18 years with a multitude of psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders.
Education & Experience
Ph.D. or Psy.D in Psychology from an APA-accredited clinical psychology training program. Training in child growth and development required.
Prior experience in pediatric setting preferred.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to develop outstanding leadership skills.
Demonstrate commitment to high standards of patient care and customer relations practice.
Licensure & Certification
Texas Provisionally Licensed Psychologist desired but not required.
Must have educational background and training to function in the capacity of a psychological extender of services under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist as defined by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
