Responsibilities and Expectations:

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a talented and dedicated Electrical Engineer for our Meridian Service Center. This Engineer will have the challenging and rewarding opportunity to provide custom control solutions to highly automated industries across North America.

  • Provide Electrical technical support to customers, the Custom Equipment Shop, and field service activities
  • Provide support in designing and programming current VFD and custom control panels
  • Assist in quoting, engineering, layout planning, and electrical AutoCAD drawings in conjunction with the engineering team
  • Prepare construction drawing preliminary packages for bids and review incoming proposals for design and construction
  • Ensure that projects meet customer expectations and applicable industry standards
  • Assist with the implementation of quality improvementactions
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with operating policies and procedures
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement Process Solution (CIPS) tools and Processes

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering preferred, with adequate electrical controls and instrumentation experience considered. Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in understanding electrical controls
  • 5+ years experience with troubleshooting, commissioning, repair of industrial motor control equipment
  • Experience designing, reading, and modifying electrical schematics
  • Ability to utilize a multimeter to test/troubleshoot various control schemes and voltages to480VAC
  • Experience with CAD software related to electrical design such as AutoCAD Electrical or similar equivalents
  • Experience with PLC's, motion controls, and SCADA systems is a plus
  • Ability to travel to client sites/fields as necessary to specify equipment needed for control scheme additions/upgrades
  • Provide technical phone support for service centers and field service personnel
  • Provide technical support to the sales team, participate in customer visits, customer, and sales training
  • Knowledge of NEC and UL508A standards a plus
  • Ability to relate well with others in a professional and knowledgeable manner
  • Strong proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to communicate technical data in a clear and concise manner
