Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County is seeking to expand current services with the addition of a full-time Director of Complex Family Planning. Kings County Hospital operates a state-of-the-art Labor and Delivery room and a newly renovated Women's Health Center, which serves residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. The hospital is academically affiliated with SUNY Downstate Medical Center and trains their medical students and OBGYN residents.

Kings County Hospital is located in the East Flatbush/Prospect-Lefferts section of Brooklyn, close to the 2 and 5 subways. Our patients are diverse, with the majority being afro-Caribbean. Most of our patients are native English speakers. Knowledge of French/Haitian Creole is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities
    Perform medication and procedural abortion and complex contraception services
  • Coordination of Family Planning Services
  • Provide direct clinical care in ambulatory and inpatient settings

  • Teach medical students and residents

  • Strategize plans for the Complex Family Planning Division

  • Administrative work in the Ryan Residency Training Program, the Title X Family Planning grant, and assisting development of the services provided in the Women's Options Unit

  • Rotate in the call schedule for family planning consultations and rare emergency or urgent D&E procedures

  • Involvement in quality improvement and performance improvement activities
Qualifications
  • Board Certified in General Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Fellowship in Complex Family Planning
  • Proven 3 years' administrative experience

  • Annual salary = $325,000 - The salary listed is for full-time employment and does not include any additional call pay or benefits.
