This program aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the complex and dynamic field of cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures.
As a participant in our CVOR Fellowship Program, you will embark on a structured and hands-on learning journey in the heart of our state-of-the-art cardiac surgery department. This fellowship program is tailored to provide you with a deep understanding of CVOR procedures, patient care, and surgical techniques. You will work closely with experienced cardiac surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to gain invaluable expertise in this specialized field.
A CVOR Nurse, also known as a Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse, plays a vital role in the surgical team, specializing in procedures related to the cardiovascular system. They are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing heart and vascular surgeries. This role demands a high level of skill, precision, and compassion. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional nursing care before, during, and after cardiac and vascular surgeries. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of patients undergoing these intricate procedures.

Registered Nurse - State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required. BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
