We are looking for a Director of Software Engineering to lead Brand, Marketing & Field strategy engineering teams. These agile teams work to provide software solutions that support our Small Business Credit Cards, and are well-versed in a wide variety of technologies including: Java, Angular, React, Python, Shell Scripting, Node JS and Salesforce deployed on the cloud (AWS).

You will:

- Lead, manage and grow multiple teams of product focused software engineers

- Mentor and coach the software engineers on your team. Work closely with them on their career development.

- Build relationships and work with product partners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios - Continuously improve software engineering practices

- Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack development tools and technologies

- Be well managed: Maintain the technology stack that is owned by teams by resolving vulnerabilities.

- Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community

- Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity

- Work across to improve the velocity of your and other teams

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree

- At least 7 years' experience in software development

- At least 5 years' experience in people management

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's Degree

- 10+ years of experience in software development

- 5+ years of experience in Agile practices
