Overview

Our Group Audit Anti-Financial Crime ("AFC") team delivers audits and validations covering the second line AFC portfolio in the United States. You will also perform risk assessment, conduct business monitoring, and provide AFC subject matter expertise support for colleagues in other audit teams with coverage of various AFC topics, as part of 'front to back' audit reviews.

You will report to the Principal Audit Manager for AFC in the United States, who in turn reports to the Chief Auditor for AFC globally.

What You'll Do

  • Lead complex audits of a specific business / functional area / region, and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to AFC risks within those areas

  • Use a range of approaches to collect relevant information to assess key risks, resolve major issues or carry out tasks across a portfolio

  • Pro-actively develop and maintain professional working relationships within their function and with business stakeholders both locally and globally

  • Work in a co-operative manner with subject matter experts and other teams from across the function and outside the function to provide "front-to-back" audit coverage. Act as coach for auditors

  • Actively contribute to the delivery of team plans in support of the functional and business strategies

  • Occasionally lead and participate in ad-hoc projects and special investigations, and represent the division at committees and forums

How You'll Lead

  • Strong analytical, communication (both verbal and written) and project management skills

Skills You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related discipline, Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, Juris Doctor, etc.) and professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CAMS, CFE, etc.) preferred

  • Extensive relevant of experience within financial services in an internal Audit role covering AFC topics or extensive first / second line AFC experience

  • Proven record of operating in an audit role, including leading and delivering audits, as well as strong understanding of the AFC risks and control environment

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Ability to work independently, multi-task assignments and prioritize workloads with minimal supervision

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York is $125,000 to $203,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
