We are hiring for Greenskeeper III who will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and turf of the golf course in playing condition as directed by the Golf Course Superintendent.

GREENSKEEPER III RESPONSIBILITIES

Proficient operation skills of all golf course maintenance equipment with emphasis on larger more expensive items.

Operate all maintenance equipment on an as-needed basis with no particular use limitation.

Assist in project work, including drainage, laying sod, irrigation, sprigging of greens, tees, fairways, approaches and trim work as directed.

While operating equipment and hand tools, ensure that all necessary and supplied safety equipment is worn such as safety glasses and earplugs. All tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained as required.

Clean machines after use and makes minor adjustments to the equipment under the supervision of the mechanic.

Maintain fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis and before use, inspect equipment before use and report problems or failure to the supervisor immediately.

Aware of course conditions that impact the ability of equipment to perform and communicate these concerns freely and effectively.

Perform job tasks with little or no disruption to the members and guests playing the golf course, return all equipment to the designated location and keep the maintenance areas clean and free of clutter.

Water and fertilize tees, greens and fairways, under the direction of a certified applicator.

Assist in the training of new employees in maintenance and equipment operations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid Local Driver's License

Frequent standing, walking and lifting up to 50 pounds required on a daily basis.
