Job Summary

The Planner/Scheduler will primarily be responsible for performing non-routine scheduling assignments, which require the selection and application of resource monitoring principles, techniques and technical knowledge of a project.

Essential Functions
  • Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its Core
  • Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
  • Performs tasks required to develop and maintain schedules for a portion of the Includes collecting actual and quantities per schedules, assessing progress data supplied by others, and visual inspections.
  • Develops detailed schedules with management. May collect data from a variety of sources including A/E, client, other contractors, etc.
  • Interfaces with other departments to provide scheduling data for items such as subcontract change requests, bid comparisons, new work item estimates and resolution of potential work schedule problems.
  • May provide direction and on-the-job training to clerical and entry-level professional personnel assigned to area of responsibility.
  • Works closely with others to ensure proper hours are reported at the start of the
  • Communicates with the shop superintendent for changes to the cost
  • Assigns production hours to jobs from the cost book, quotes or from historical
  • Maintains the cost book issued to the Regions by accumulating historical data from actual
  • Performs job reviews comparing estimates and planned jobs to
  • Acts as a backup to the Scheduling Coordinator, entering jobs as they are received from Engineering, the Regions or Outside Fabrication Divisions. Works closely with Project Managers to ensure jobs are entered properly and
  • Provides backup support for job costing work, providing a detailed invoice for hard dollar jobs, time and material jobs, and seals for inside jobs.
  • Performs other related responsibilities, as Assists with special projects that may arise.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of engineering or similar scheduling experience; previous fabrication experience preferred, or equivalent combinations of training and/or related experience.
  • Proficiency with Primavera, MS Project, RSBizware Scheduler or similar scheduling
  • Working knowledge of and ability to select and apply resource monitoring and control techniques, such as scheduling, computer scheduling techniques, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of the nature of process systems, structures and fabrication technology
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent leadership and organizational
  • Ability to prioritize projects, work on multiple projects and work with multiple
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Word and
  • Ability to read drawings/blueprints.

Washington law requires pay information in job postings. The typical hiring range for this position in Washington is shown below. The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of this range, and in certain circumstances, may fall outside the listed hiring range.

Hiring range: $40.86 to $46.86 per hour

Full range for this position, available over time: $40.86 to $52.52 per hour
