We are looking to hire a Project Controls Analyst for our office in New Braunfels, TX. The Project Controls Analyst works with multiple construction disciplines and provides insight into key project life cycle metrics through data analytics and reporting. The ideal candidate possesses advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills to find solutions to data collection, reporting, metrics, and conduct predictive analytics for a wide range of projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup of project cost and productivity tracking.
  • Perform cost analysis on projects to identify potential issues to the project team.
  • Track cash flow of projects from billing to collection
  • Evaluate projections based on earned value management.
  • Maintain budgets for a project, including forecasting and recommending adjustments to the project budget.
  • Review coding of project costs to ensure proper data collection.
  • Help analyze Productivity reports and provide feedback to the project team.
  • Support processes and workflow between Operations and Accounting for streamlined communication.
  • Assist in analyzing equipment usage to evaluate utilization versus cost.
  • Control risk on subcontracts and purchase orders by reviewing Scope of Works and committed cost prior to being issued.
  • Review Owner contracts for risk analysis, provide feedback, and track comments and deliverables.
  • Track project change orders and contracts to ensure the contract data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Travel approximately every 6-8 weeks, alternating between St. Louis, MO, and Charlotte, NC. Travel will be necessary to oversee and support project activities in both locations, ensuring that project controls processes are effectively implemented and monitored.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting, or relevant field from a 4-year accredited University
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in Project Management applications a plus.
  • Experience in Scheduling applications is a plus.
  • Experience with a Construction ERP a plus.
  • Experience with Power BI a plus.
  • Travel 15-20% alternating from St. Louis, MO and Charlotte, NC
