We are currently seeking a Creative Arts Therapist at our new Restoration Long Term Structured Residence, located in Easton, PA. The ORLTSR is a therapeutic residential program that works with justice involved individuals, ages 18 and over. The individuals in the program have a diagnosis of serious mental illness and have been prosecuted on criminal charges. The program will provide mental health treatment to those who will be admitted on Conditional Release or those in need of competency restoration.
Responsibilities:
The Creative Arts Therapist collaborates with program leadership to design and implement therapeutic programming and related activities which reflect individual needs, interests, and the individualized recovery planning processes. Provide education and training to both individuals in recovery and staff regarding the benefits and intricacies of art therapy. Facilitate activities with individuals and groups, including educational, clinical, social and leisure programs, ensuring inclusion of the individuals in the activities. Assist with connecting individuals to community resources as identified in their recovery plan and establishment of partnerships with community-based supports to promote community integration and identification of methods for individuals in recovery to build social capital and development of network supports. Ensure that all required documentation is completed efficiently and thoroughly maintaining compliance with all internal and external requirements and regulations.
